Habitat
They are only found in the Southern Ocean.
Feeding
Adults feed mainly on amphipods, polychaetes, gastropods, isopods, copepods and euphausiids (E. superba). They are often seen feeding in the water column or on the lower surface of the ice.
Reproduction
They have dioecious reproduction, where each individual produces only one type of gamete (eggs or sperm).
Conservation status
Not assessed on the IUCN Red List.
